Fortnite FNCS Global Championship 2024 Highlights: Format, Winners and More

FCNS 2024 Qualifiers

To be able to participate in this The Global Championship in Fortnite, your team must place within the top in any of the three FNCS 2024 Majors. And because the Last Chance Major is not included this year, the qualification came from Major 1, Major 2, or Major 3.

During each Major, each player will play against each other for their matchmaking region and earn Series Points according to their performance. 

Open Qualifiers

In this stage, you and your partner shall collect as many points as you can, during the ten matches within three hours. There will be three or four rounds of Open Qualifiers in the region, and only the best duos will reach the next stage.

Semi-Finals

In the Semi-Finals, the point position one enters will determine whether they go down to Lower or Upper Semi-Finals. They will fight in three rounds of competition.

Grand Finals 

In the final round, 50 teams compete; players only have a chance to qualify for the FNCS Global Championship as only the best of the best may make it.

FCNS 2024 Format

The recent Fortnite FNCS Global Championship 2024 started on September 7 and ended on September 8, consisting of a two-day intense competition. Players delved into newly launched Chapter 5, Season 4, conquering new challenges as they fight for the title of being the world's top duo. Competitors earn points accumulated throughout the 12 knockout-style matches, with placements and eliminations both counting significantly.

This Fortnite tournament uses a Battle Royale duos format, in which 50 teams that consist of two players each make a total of 100 players who will play six matches daily. All the eliminations and placements garnered throughout the tournament will determine the winner, hence making all moves played and decisions critical to winning.

Fortnite FNCS Global Championship 2024: Winner and Prize Pool 

At the end of the much-awaited Fortnite Global Championship, it was Peterbot and Pollo who were crowned as the year’s champions. It was their first-ever championship title as a duo.

At day's end on Day 1, Peterbot and Pollo led by 147 points, with their closest competitors being Questy and Th0masHD. The two clutch solo plays by Peterbot dominated the highlights. The other teams were still in with a chance at that point, but the momentum of this duo was too much.

Although Peterbot and Pollo started slowly on the second day, they were able to regain their stride, still sitting on top. The final match would only see Questy and Th0masHD remaining as the only other couple with any hope of dethroning Peterbot and Pollo, but of course, this was not to be and so they were defeated, leaving Peterbot and Pollo champions. They did not only win the tournament but did so with style, winning the final match as well.

The tournament has a total prize pool of  $2 million which is divided by the winning team and other teams that secured other placements.
